Why Lestari Tempo
The difference is
in the details
For watches that matter, the choice of who handles them deserves the same care as the watches themselves.

What distinguishes the work here
One craftsman, start to finish
The same person who assesses your watch completes the service. Your piece is never split between multiple hands.
Everything documented
Photographs on intake, at key stages, and on completion. A written record accompanies every heritage restoration.
Owner consulted before decisions
No part is sourced, no surface altered, without your written agreement. You remain in control throughout.
Timed and measured before return
Rate, amplitude, and beat error are measured on a timing machine across positions after every movement service.
Conservation over cosmetic change
On vintage pieces, patina and original surface character are respected. Treatment does not default to polishing.
Transparent, upfront pricing
Our service prices are stated clearly. Any additional cost from parts is discussed before anything is ordered.
Fourteen years in mechanical work
Ahmad Razif's training began well before Lestari Tempo took its current form. His apprenticeship covered movement disassembly, parts identification, timing, and the specific demands of vintage calibres — movements that require an understanding of what they were designed for rather than what modern parts can be substituted in.
This depth of background means that when a movement arrives in an unusual condition — seized keyless work, cracked balance staff, incorrectly fitted replacement parts from a previous service — the diagnostic process draws on experience rather than guesswork.
Staged ultrasonic cleaning, specific lubricants
Cleaning a movement properly requires more than running parts through a single bath. We use a staged ultrasonic process, with each stage matched to the material group being cleaned — brass, steel, jewels, and synthetic components respond differently to different solutions and cycle lengths.
Lubrication is applied under magnification, with lubricant type and quantity specified per contact surface: escape wheel teeth receive a different treatment from balance pivot ends, which differ again from calendar mechanism contacts. Nothing generic is applied across the board.
Communication without chasing
Owners should not need to follow up repeatedly to understand where their watch stands. Siti Haslinda manages all client correspondence and coordinates updates at each significant point in the service. When a decision point arises — a part worn beyond tolerance, a case surface requiring direction — we reach out rather than wait to be asked.
For the Heritage Restoration Programme, update intervals are agreed at intake. Longer commissions do not disappear into silence for sixteen weeks.
Pricing that reflects what is actually done
Our service prices — MYR 970 for movement service, MYR 860 for case polishing, MYR 2,140 for heritage restoration — cover labour and standard consumables. These are not entry prices that expand with unstated add-ons.
Where parts beyond the routine are required, those are identified by name, priced individually, and presented for your approval before we proceed. You will never receive an invoice that includes work you did not agree to.
A watch that works as intended
The outcome of a service is measurable. A movement regulated within ±10 seconds per day across multiple positions, with amplitude in the appropriate range for its design, is behaving as it should. We report these figures rather than describing the result in vague terms.
For pieces returned after long storage, the difference is usually immediate and clearly felt in the winding resistance, the sweep of the seconds hand, and the stability of the running rate over successive days of wear.

What Sets Us Apart
Specific to Lestari Tempo
Scope agreed in writing before work begins
Every service commences from a written intake assessment that both parties can refer to. If the scope changes — because of something found during disassembly — the change is communicated and agreed before proceeding.
Postal service for clients outside KL
For collectors across Malaysia who prefer not to travel, we accept properly packaged pieces via registered courier. We guide the packaging process and confirm receipt before assessment begins.
Multi-day regulation observation
Regulation is not completed in a single session. After assembly and initial timing, movements are observed over several days before final adjustment. This identifies variance that a one-time measurement would miss.
No obligation initial enquiry
You may contact us with photographs and a description of your watch for an initial assessment without any commitment. We will indicate honestly whether the piece falls within our scope and what service would involve.
